************************************* * * * DB/C Newsletter * * December 1999 * * * ************************************* Big News DB/C now has its own company! DB/C Software Company is the name of the new company that is being spun off from Subject, Wills and Company. As you can infer from its name, the sole purpose of the new company is to create, sell and support the DB/C software products. In addition, ProducePro Incorporated is being spun off from Subject, Wills and Company. The sole purpose of ProducePro Inc. is to create, sell and support the ProducePro software products. The two new corporations begin operating on January 1, 2000. The ownership of all three companies remains the same as before. The primary reason for the split up of Subject, Wills and Company is to allow the resulting three companies to focus on their respective markets. SWC will continue to provide custom programming services, system engineering services, and will continue to resell many hardware and software products. However, the new primary focus of SWC will be to provide e-commerce solutions to small and medium-size businesses located in the Chicago area. The effect on you, the DB/C customer, should be minimal. The same products, prices and services will be provided by the new corporation by the same people. For at least the next year, all three companies will continue to reside at the existing Oak Brook offices. The phone numbers will stay the same. The new Internet domain name for the DB/C Software Company is dbcsoftware.com. Thus, the new email addresses end with @dbcsoftware.com, the web server is www.dbcsoftware.com, and the FTP server is ftp.dbcsoftware.com. Currently these new addresses are just redirected to the swc.com servers, but we plan for them to become independent servers in the future. Email requests for general information about DB/C should be sent to info@dbcsofware.com. Administrative requests should be sent to admin@dbcsoftware.com. Technical support questions should be sent to support@dbcsoftware.com. As we close in on this special New Year, I'd like to thank all of the users of DB/C software for their support in the past. We're looking forward to continued good relationships with all of you for many years ahead. don.wills@dbcsoftware.com ***************************************************************************** Subscribing to the DB/C Newsletter If you don't already have the DB/C Newsletter delivered to your email address and would like to have it emailed to you when it is produced, just send an email message to 'request@dbcsoftware.com' and put the line 'subscribe dbcnews' in the body of the email message (omit the ' characters).
