     We are just about finished with work on DB/C DX 15.  We plan to begin
beta testing in the next couple of weeks.  Thanks to all who've volunteered
to help with testing.  We'll provide details of the new features in DB/C DX
15 in next month's newsletter.

     There is one new initiative that we have finished in DB/C DX 15 that
might be quite interesting to you, so I will provide a quick summary here.
In the past, the client software of Smart Client has been provided in two
versions - the Java Smart Client and the Win32 Smart Client.  In DB/C DX 15,
we're adding a third version - the C# (.NET) Smart Client.  By itself, that's
not a big deal because its functionally is essentially the same as the Win32
Smart Client.  However, with DB/C DX 15, we will release the source code for
both Java and C# versions of Smart Client.  One customer has already taken
the C# code and modified it to do a few extra things that their application
required.  I suspect others may have similar requirements.  So if you're
interested in getting started with this new feature now, send me an email
and we'll add you to our list of early testers.
